Modern Slavery Statement 2020

At Ultra Sport Europe Limited we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking of any kind.

Ultra Sport Europe Ltd essentially began in 1972 when Gordon Way first started windsurfing and then selling boards in his spare time. Throughout the years Gordon, his family, friends and others who have come aboard have bought and sold different products and brands as well as manufacturing and selling our own.

The foundations of Ultra Sport Europe Ltd are based on quality products, a culture of family values and social responsibility. Every brand we work with joins the family and as such joins our ambition to have a positive impact and focus, not just on getting the job done, but also on how we do it. We want every person connected to our brands to have a positive experience, from the directors and customers to the shop-floor workers in the factories within our product supply chains.

As such we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity throughout all our transactions so our customers can purchase their products with confidence. We hold ourselves and our suppliers to the highest environmental and social standards in the industry.

We have built great relationships with our immediate suppliers and use our influence to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within their operations and seek assurance from those suppliers to promote the same values throughout their own supply chains, encouraging them to establish their own risk assessment processes.

Over the coming years we will continue to extend our values and good practices further beyond our own supply chain, with our business partners taking ownership of this, and re-emphasise the obligations of the Modern Slavery Act within our procurement processes.

Our recruitment procedures require all prospective employees and agency workers to provide documentary evidence of their legal entitlement to work in the UK, and our Whistleblowing policy is available for reporting concerns in respect of modern slavery or human trafficking.

There have been no reported instances of human trafficking or slavery activities within our business, nor have we become aware of any allegations made against any of our suppliers.
